The running race was held in Suzhou industrial international school on November 14, 2018.
What is different from last year is that this year the running is set in November with cold wind which chilled our body. Go through thousands of miles we arrived Suzhou industrial international school we were prepared because on the bus we’ve received Ms. Flottat highest encouragement, “Do your best, have fun and run hard. Don’t worry about winning or losing, just achieve your best potential.”
In the exciting game, our team mates gain a gold, a silver and a bronze metal. All this honour is derived from our hard work. The number of runners which joins in the competition expanded to nearly 120 with 19 events. As a small-medium sized school, our school is under great pressure due to the huge amount of competitors. It is necessary to feel nervous. Under such pressure we had minor doubts. However when we stepped on the track, things became clear. The cheering mates and our other self is the only person on the playground, we were competing with ourselves and our teammates were encouraging us. Some of us fell on the ground, the plastic track hurt our leg then we stood up and ran through the finishing line with tears on the face. Some of us didn’t get gold medals, but we used hugs and applause to celebrate. We felt like winners in our own way.
The running race which lasted only half a day, is just a small part of our colorful BCOS life. It has become the past, so now as the student we are still trying and fighting. Looking forward to the next running event in April, where Jiaxing Senior High School may host the competition for all BC offshore schools and parents will be welcomed to come and celebrate our victories.
