On 15 April 2024, in this campus full of vitality and enthusiasm, the volleyball match was a feast to show the power of youth. As an important event in sports, the volleyball game not only tests the players’ technical level, but also is an opportunity to exercise teamwork spirit and show personal charm. Today, we gathered in the school gymnasium for an exciting volleyball match. Boys and girls from various groups competed here, interpreting the vigour of youth with sweat and passion.
Before the game started, Rosie and Joey stood in the centre of the gym and showed us the rules of volleyball. They demonstrated and explained the requirements and rules of the game. Meanwhile, Cynthia, the host of the game, stood at the side of the court and announced the beginning and end of each game. She conducted the game in an organised manner, making people feel at ease.
Mr Lapp and Mr Hughes stood on the sidelines and coached the players. Even though some of the players had not received professional volleyball training, they were all full of hard work and enthusiasm. The teachers not only gave guidance to the players in terms of technique, but also encouraged them to maintain a good mindset and teamwork spirit. Their support and guidance helped the players to be more confident in dealing with the challenges in the matches.
In the men’s competition, Beaver & Moon Jelly Fish versus Raven & Killer Whales. Drake and his teammates, as well as Kevin and his teammates, each stood in their own area of the competition, ready to begin the intense sparring between them. Every move showed their determination and strength. At the referee’s whistle, the match began with Drake serving the ball quickly and accurately to the opposite side of the court and Kevin, not to be outdone, moved in quickly and hit the ball back with force. The volleyball flew back and forth between the two, the court was full of youthful energy.
Meanwhile, the women’s game was also thrilling, Susan and Lily showed their beautiful posture and agile movements on the court, every pass and every spike they made was full of power and skill. The players fought hard for every ball and interpreted their desire for victory with sweat.
All the players showed the spirit of unity and hard work on the field, whether it was controlling the ball or fighting for the attacking opportunities, they all showed their high skills and tacit co-operation. The audiences also cheered and supported the athletes in every exciting round.
This volleyball match is not merely a contest of technique and strength but also a celebration of youthful vitality and team spirit. Let’s cheer them on and applaud their amazing performance!
