On November 16 and the morning of November 17, 2018, the sports and art festival was held by both Jiaxing Senior High School and Jiaxing Senior Experimental High School. During the whole week, students rather expected the start of the festival and checked the weather forecast every day as quickly as possible even though the results were rainy all the time. Eventually, without disappointing all the students and the teachers, the opening ceremony began as planned.

Wearing the red and the white hoodies as the symbol of BCOS, the students were ready to show the characteristics of China and Canada. All the members of BCOS tried their best to shout the slogan “BCOS GO GO GO, CHINA CANADA WE ARE ONE” as loudly as possible, while some were tightly holding onto the flags of China and Canada or red boards with white words “BCOS WE ARE ONE.” At that moment, the school leaders saw a united BCOS marching in neat steps toward them, which represented the most dazzling hope of BCOS.

In addition to an excellent spirit, athletes’ outstanding performances were based on the training of different kinds of sports clubs as usual. For example, the training of basketball team, soccer team and running club strengthens in students’ physical and mental quality, so that it would be more likely for them to adapt the real fierce games. Due to painful practice on common days, these tears and sweats changed into the glorious metals at that time. Moreover, a large number of the members won awards in many sections, including basketball, soccer, long-distance races and short-distance sprints. Therefore, under the rostrum, BCOS students’ faces were full of irrepressible smiles.

On top of the sky, light rains fell, while the sports and art festival still continued. Standing still in the freezing wind, all the members of relay races got ready, waiting for their own missions. None of faces were changed into red and purple, rather high temperature, yet no one feared and gave up. Instead, if someone fell down bleeding, he would get up and finish the race. If someone cut his skin aching, he would try to stand the pain and offer a better jump. On the track, everyone tried to withstand the pain.

With the change between sunny and rainy weather within half a day, with the speech of the principal, the twentieth sports and art festival ended successfully. Although the festival was filled with blood and sweat, much more joy and hope were included in it.
