Along with the footsteps of autumn, Jiaxing BCOS welcomed many new members this new academic year. After a period of study and life, the G10 students are getting familiar with the BCOS classes and have some new feelings and experiences. The journalist interviewed some students in G10. Let’s see what interesting feelings they have.
Talking about their first impressions of BCOS, some students were particularly impressed by the all-English teaching atmosphere. They were immersed in the all-English teaching atmosphere every day, and the students felt that it had greatly improved all aspects of their English, especially their English-speaking skills, as they had many opportunities to speak English and practice speaking in BCOS every day. The students were also impressed with the group activities and teamwork at school. They need to cooperate with their classmates to complete the tasks and distribute the work wisely. Some other students felt that BCOS classes are very free in terms of time, which surprised them a lot. They had more freedom to manage their time, which was very different from the exam-oriented education they used to receive.
After joining the BCOS family, many students have experienced huge changes. Some students are very happy with their progress. They have improved their cooperation and leadership skills in group work, and we have found that they were all familiar with each other even though it has only been a few months since they started school. Other students still have to make some improvements organizing their time and studying independently. For example, some students have started to plan their study tasks at each stage according to the deadlines given by their teachers. We have a very strong learning environment and the teachers are very helpful in helping students with their questions and problems, both in terms of learning and after-school difficulties. They are proud of their growing self-confidence and are becoming more and more articulate and willing to ask questions.
After coming to a new learning environment, the students set their own goals in their studies, such as achieving A’s in each class and getting their ideal scores in IELTS. Some students also told us their plans for their high-school lives. They hope they can develop good habits in such a positive learning atmosphere, such as not procrastinating all the time and being brave enough to communicate with their teachers. We wish them success in reaching their goals, enjoying their studies in the BCOS family, and having a full and wonderful high school life!
