With the warm breeze and sweet smell of fragrant blossoms, the 21st sports festival of Jiaxing Senior High School began on the morning of October 18. BCOS students actively signed up and participated. They were sweating in the sun, showing their vigorous vitality in the playground and composing the prelude of youth.

First of all, the opening ceremony was held, with a confident smile and firm steps; the presence of all the BCOS students undoubtedly attracted the attention of all the teachers and students of the whole school. They were full of enthusiasm and high spirited and firmly insisted to get their targets. Among them, Dr. Levirs who played Doctor Bethune, with his four students who acted the Eighth Route Army, showed a wonderful performance, which pushed the ceremony to the small climax. Eighty years ago, Bethune, regardless of his personal safety, supported the Anti-Japanese War and built a bridge of friendship between China and Canada. Now BC teachers are playing significant roles in cultural exchange in the field of education. All the BCOS students have inherited and carried forward the spirit of internationalism and friendship, with the goal of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and they are contributing new forces.

All the students began to compete fiercely in the playground, and BCOS students were also eager to try very hard and to win honors for the class. There were 100m and 200m sprints that tested athletes’ explosive power, 800m and 1500m long-distance race that challenged players’ endurance, and 20×60 relay races that needed team cooperation. BCOS athletes on the field went to great lengths to participate in the competition with the best results. The audiences also made great efforts to cheer the athletes on. The youth is like the rising sun of birth, and the vigorous power is like the sunshine, live up to the blessings and cheers behind them.

In addition to athletic field events, high jump, long jump, shot put and other competitions were also in full swing. No matter whether they succeeded or not, all the students tried their best. They interpreted how to refuse to be cowed or submit with their indomitable desire for victory, which is worth learning from, and therefore they have won so much cheer.

Although the games only lasted for two days with a thorough competition schedule, all hard-working BCOS athletes and enthusiastic audiences built beautiful scenery on the sports ground. No matter what the result is, BCOS athletes must be full of harvest, because they are young and fearless, and they are pursuing their dreams.
