Recently, under the expectation of all teachers and students, the annual school sports meeting was finally held. One of the most exciting and spectacular events was the opening ceremony. During the opening ceremony of the school sports day, each class had the opportunity to showcase their own characteristics in a variety of unique ways. This year was no exception. Naturally, our class, as an international program, did not miss this opportunity to showcase our talents. In order to highlight the uniqueness of our performance, we chose to portray COVID-19 in a scenario and expressed our wishes for an early end to the epidemic by playing the roles of medical staff, viruses, and patients. At the same time, we also enjoyed the elaborate demonstrations of other classes at school which included cosplayers and balloons. This event showed everyone’s expectations for the next two and a half days of sports activities. At the end, our show earned the first prize at the entrance ceremony, which can be attributed to the students’ persistence in rehearsing and actively cooperating, and to sacrificing our rest time. This is the value of our community!

In the next two and a half days, our students actively participated in various competitions, such as athletics, badminton, table tennis, etc. The students rushed forward with great energy during the track and field events, and the cheers from the spectators were also heard all around. Each of us did our best to finish and tried our best. Although we were outnumbered, we all contributed to the games—it was expected that each of us participate in three or four events. We spent time and energy on our training, especially in group events like long ropes and relays, and our repeated training with each other showed our unity and relentless effort.

Football, basketball, high jump, track and field and other related projects in the performance were very outstanding. We won gold, silver, and bronze medals and many top seven positions, respectively. Congratulations! Although we did not come out on top in the overall rankings, every student gained the satisfaction of athletic competition. I am sure the students will achieve even more success in future sports festivals!
