On the afternoon of December 19th, 2019, the annual BCOS science fair exhibition was held as scheduled with the full preparation and careful arrangement of all grade students and teachers. At noon, the students had already placed their 3D display boards in an orderly manner in the designated position one after another. And, this year, three grades had a total of 65 groups of research projects with different themes and different colour schemes.
Before the official start of the activity, students made full use of their time. Some stood beside their display boards to rehearse the presentations again and again with their partners, and some of them carefully checked the possible problems on the boards so that they could correct timing, striving to meet the judges and visitors in a perfect state, who would browse the boards and ask questions.
Compared to previous years, the most direct sense of this year’s science fair exhibition was that the students were more likely to choose more challenging and interesting topics, such as the holographic projection, which was to explore the effects of the thickness of glass on the display; Or to observe the effect of the sports supplement electrolyte to the body after drinking different types of sports drinks; Some tried to research tidal movement or research how to make “super WiFi”; And one group of students were interested in the relationship between sleep depth and turnover times so that they recorded the data and analyzed them. In addition, in order to have a good visual effect and to make the introduction more vivid, students also made delicate designs and clever juxtaposition of colour and words for the presentation of their display boards. In short, no matter which board people chose to stand in front of, they could always gain new experiences and learn new knowledge.
Every year’s science fair exhibition is a feast of ideas and exploration. In this process, students constantly learn from each other, obtain new knowledge, recognize and make up for the shortcomings of their works, which not only enhance their practical ability and speech skills but also further improve their innovative practice and cooperation.
