On December 21, the Family Day was held in Jiaxing BCOS. This year, the participation of parents was particularly high. Despite the light rain outside, nearly 100 parents have taken time out of their busy work and actively participated in this activity. Grade 12 students attentively prepared beautiful thank you cards for them.
Before the activity began, the dancing room had been filled with food brought by parents and students. Pizza, fried chicken, cake, milk tea… The aroma of these dishes deeply hook everyone’s stomach, and they have already been unable to bear the mood of enjoying delicious food.
The activity officially started in a lively atmosphere. Two small pre-meal games—protect the balloon and guess the song’s name, inspired everyone’s sense of participation. Players in the balloon game tied a balloon to their ankles. They needed to attack other people’s balloons and protect their own balloons at the same time. Three minutes later, the person who still has the balloon won. At the same time, he and his table-mates have the priority to enjoy delicious food. In the process of guessing song names, BC teachers needed to wear earphones, listen to the Chinese songs, and hum them out with the tunes. Students and parents were trying to guess the song names. “Dang”, “Tan Te” and other familiar songs were interpreted almost perfectly by BC teachers with their musical talent! The audiences immediately guessed the answer.
After the fun games, the students gave well-prepared performances, such as group dances from the dance club, the song “Let it Go” of the chorus club, the dance “Fire” and the tender song “Nian Shao You Wei”, etc. all earned prolonged applause.
At the end of Family Day, Mr. C and Mr. Hughes presented the awards to the students who won prizes in the Science Fair and Waterloo Math Contest. Everyone gave them sincere encouragement and congratulations.
The annual reunion time came to an end with laughter and applause. This activity not only allowed students to relax physically and mentally after hard study but also strengthened the communication between the school and parents to promote the better development of BCOS in the future.
