Singing is like gurgling water and washing our hearts. The noise of the world will fade away in the beautiful melody; the gloomy mood will clear up in the music. The power of music is often amazing, and the singing competition was also amazing. This show brought forth an exciting atmosphere.

First came the students from the Dance Club. They used their passionate and handsome dance moves to drive the atmosphere up to give the students who were going to sing next a good start.

The students performed very well in the singing competition, which brightened up the room for the audience. The repertoire of songs ranged from a lazy afternoon to a warm hope for peace. The musical styles of the top four students in the performance were different, but they were all impressive and unforgettable.

Two girls from the first year of high school, Rae and Cristina, won the most popular award. They did not let us down in the game. They used a sweet song “COFFEE” to make people feel like having tea on a lazy afternoon.

Joy from Grade 11 won the first prize in the contest. She has a beautiful voice which really intoxicated the audience. When she sang, the light of confidence also fascinated her audience and showed her to be a valiant woman. The stage was her battlefield as she held the microphone and shone like a light.

The second winner of the competition was Vincent, who is a G11 student. His song “Wake Me Up When September Ends” had a strong rhythm, sad lyrics, and fluctuated our heartstrings. The audience was deeply moved by the song’s nostalgia for his father and optimistic attitude towards life. For everyone, a father is always like a big tree in one’s childhood, protecting us in the process of growth.

In third place was another student from G11: Ryan. Ryan’s song “I Wanna” was beautiful and romantic. He sang with deep concentration, infecting the audience with sincere feelings. The lyrics, “I want to take you everywhere I’ve been to” shows the beauty of love. In love, we want to see all the good things in the world with the people we love.

Many students were able to sing and dance, actively participate in activities, shine on the stage, and were willing to show their strengths. This is the confidence that the classes have been focusing on cultivating, and the students dared to show themselves in front of the school. May our singing competition become better and better and may more and more students participate in it in the future.
